HAWTHORNE, CA –- After making some minor changes as well implementing an aggressive marketing plan, GENEROUS, a quarterly ‘zine geared toward women 18-40 is starting off the new year with a few upgrades.  It will still have the same edgy humor that brought a unique fan base but will place more emphasis on informative articles and related resources with women in who live in this crazy world of ours.

“Since starting out as a 4-page newsletter in 2007, I’ve met some incredible women from various backgrounds who have so much to share on everyday life.  Society tends to celebrate women when they are physically beautiful and then for the ability to entertain.  Even in the 21^st Century, the world still cares more about how a woman looks as opposed to what she has to offer.”  Owner J.Swindell, who was born and reared in Los Angeles County, speaks from experience of surviving in La-La Land as one of the “non-beautiful people”.

GENEROUS is not about the latest fashions or everyday Hollywood gossip (though we do poke fun at pop culture from time to time) but profiles everyday women who have real pressing issues that don’t involve the color-coordination of their wardrobe, trying to attract some guy who was incompatible from go or waiting around for that miracle diet.

Since GENEROUS is about women and other feminist-related issues on something of a grassroots level –

*           We also write about and promote women-run businesses

*           Offer ad space at very reasonable rates

*           Create an outlet for new writers

*           Don’t mind sharing a lot of information (and laughs) for a low price
